Bittergaurd poriyal



Ingredients
  1. Bitter gaurd 3 chopped small peices.
  2. Onion 1 chopped.
  3. Green chillies 5 slit.
  4. Grated coconut one cup.
  5. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  6. Urad dhal 1 tsp.
  7. Few curry leaves.
  8. Oil for tempering.
  9. Salt to taste
Method
  • Wash and soak chopped bittergaurd in water mixed with salt for 15 min and squeeze out extra water and keep it aside.
  • In a non stick fry pan add oil when its hot add mustard seeds when its splutter add urad dhal and curry leaves.
  • Add chopped onion and green chilles.
  • Fry till onion is light brown.
  • Add bittergaurd fry well with out water till its cooked well.
  • Keep stiring once in 2 min.
  • Add salt and once bitter gaurd is cooked well add grated coconut.
  • Fry for 3 min.
