Mutton Kurma

Mutton Kurma.






Ingredients
  1. Mutton without bones 1 lb.
  2. Onion one finely chopped.
  3. Tomato one finely chopped.
  4. Ginger one inch finely choppped.
  5. Garlic crushed 3 pods.
  6. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp.
  7. Pepper 1/2 tsp.
  8. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp.
  9. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp.
  10. Chilly powder 1 1/2 tsp.
  11. Dhaniya powder 3 tsp.
  12. Garam masala powder.
  13. Cahewnut 5-8.
  14. Poppy seeds 1 1/2 tsp.
  15. Whole garam masala.
  16. Salt
  17. Oil

Method
  • Heat pressure pan and add oil,add cumin seeds and pepper and when its fried add chopped ginger and garlic.
  • Add Mutton and fry till moisture is gone from mutton and add water,salt and close pan and cook for 3 whistle.
  • Soak cashewnut and poppy seeds in hot water.
  • In a fry pan add 1 Tbsp of oil add garam masala(clove,cardamom,cinnmon stick).
  • Add  chopped onion fry till its light brown and add ginger garlic paste and cook for 1 min.
  • Add chopped tomato and fry till tomato is cooked.
  • Add dry powders(chilli,dhaniya,garam masala powder) and fry for 1 min.
  • Add cooked mutton to this and mix well add salt to taste and cook till oil seperates at top.
  • Grind cashewnut and poppy seeds make a paste add to kurma.
  • Cook for another 7 min .
  • Finish it off adding cilantro leaves.
Serve with Roti,Chappathi or Briyani.

  2. i've never cooked mutton and i hear its tougher than making chicken. this one looks like a winner :)
