SOUTH INDIAN BREAKFAST VENPONGAL




Ingredients:




  1. One cup Raw rice.


  2. 1/4 cup moon dhal.


  3. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder.


  4. one tsp cumin seeds.


  5. one tsp Mustard seeds


  6. Urad dhal few


  7. Channa dhal few.


  8. 15 pepper cons.


  9. one inch ginger skin peeled and finely chopped.


  10. Curry leaves 4.


  11. Cashew nuts 8-10


  12. One Tbs of ghee




Method





  • pressure cook rice and dhall with water,salt and turmeric powder, rice and dhal must be over boiled


  • Now heat ghee and fry cashew take cashew and keep it .


  • In ghee add ginger and fry well till light brown,Add mustard seeds,Cumin seeds,Pepper,urad dhal,Channa dhal, fry well add curry leaves.


  • Add this mixure with ghee to cooked rice and dhal.


  • Mix well add cashews.


  • Serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar.
